Impound Water Monitoring System
Standing water is a year-round risk - blocked drains, heavy rain or ice dams. Up to 14 measurement points monitor the water level continuously.
At a glance
What this system delivers.
-
Continuous water-level measurement
Highly sensitive sensors detect even small levels - before the roof is at risk.
-
No more rooftop walk-arounds
Evaluation runs remotely - in case of an alarm a targeted clearing operation instead of routine checks.
-
Active year-round
Also outside the winter season: protects against standing water from heavy-rain events.
-
Can be combined
Can be combined with snow-load sensors on the same roof to form an integrated system.
Standing water on flat roofs - the underestimated risk
In heavy rain, flat roofs and their drainage quickly hit their limits. Just 10 cm of standing water per square metre means an additional 100 kg/m² area load. Common systems only check for leaks - not the structural load caused by water. Permanent monitoring prevents damage and, in extreme cases, collapse.
Control unit
The control unit transmits the readings of all sensors to the online portal - via Wi-Fi or, at sites without local internet, via a 4G/5G modem. A solar panel plus emergency battery bridges up to 100 days of darkness. When thresholds are exceeded, the unit alerts automatically via SMS, email and voicemail.
Standing-water sensor
The sensor measures the exact height of the standing water in millimetres and transmits it wirelessly to the control unit. AGM-battery-powered, IP68-protected - runs maintenance-free for several years.
Freely combinable with snow-load sensors
Our snow-load measuring systems and standing-water sensors are compatible and can be combined on the same roof into integrated monitoring. Severe-weather warnings are shown at district level via meteo-alarm.
